Hi Bianca,
Like Ciara, I have been travelling solo since 2016. Although I have a travel group, there are times when I need to be on my own. I have done 3 solo travels to Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sydney. Of course, you have to do some research before embarking on this adventure. Get on the Hop-on-hop-off bus …the best way to explore. Join the tours (abundance of tours but I would recommend Greyhound) Have fun on your travels!

On one side, I’m really really looking forward to this experience; on the other I’m obviously scared of the unknown (as you explained in your post).

I’m planning a solo trip in Africa and trying hard to focus on the part of me that is excited/ ignore the part that is freaking out and wondering why on earth I would do that. I’ll keep in mind what you wrote about feeling a sense of awareness, freedom and self-empowerment after your trip – those seem well worth whatever challenges I may face as a solo traveler.
